I would like to inform that 12th of December 2011 passed away my great friend outstanding Professor of the Polish Double Bass Tadeusz Górny. He passed after long and heroic battle with cancer.
Tadeusz graduated in the Moscow Conservatory of Music under prof. Astachov and Gabdulin. He was working as a Professor of Double Bass in the Academy of Music in Wroclaw since 1977.

Tadeusz was a great double bassist. He played in the Wroclaw Chamber Orchester Leopoldinum. He recorded also a few double bass works for the Wroclaw Radio.
For his pedagogical work professor Tadeusz Gorny was awarded by the Ministry of Culture and by the Rector of the Music Academy in Wroclaw. 
Professor Tadeusz Gorny was a Member of the Polish Society of the Double Bassists.
